Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
In short: SwipeDelete analyzes your photo library only on your iPhone. It doesn't require an account and doesn't upload your photos or videos to any server. Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store.
1. Data controller
AlbosApps, developer of the SwipeDelete app (“we”). Contact: albosapps@gmail.com.
2. Photo library access
To work, SwipeDelete asks for your permission, through iOS, to access your Photos library. Access is used to:
- show your photos and videos as cards to swipe;
- analyze them on-device (with Apple's Vision framework and built-in rules) to suggest screenshots, near-duplicates, bursts and low-quality shots;
- filter and sort them by type, date or size;
- delete them, only after your confirmation and the one requested by iOS.
All processing happens on your device: photos, videos and analysis results are not sent to us or to third parties. You can change or revoke the permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › SwipeDelete.
3. Data stored on your device
So you can resume where you left off, the app stores locally on your iPhone: the state of the deck, the items in the in-app Trash, your preferences (filters and sorting), the freed-space counter and the unlock status of the unlimited version. This data stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
4. Accounts and personal data
SwipeDelete requires no sign-up or account and does not ask for your name, email or other identifying data inside the app.
5. In-app purchases (Apple App Store)
The one-time “Unlock Unlimited” purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID. Apple handles payment and purchase data under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your card or payment method details.
6. If you contact us
If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message only to reply and provide support (legal basis: handling your request and our legitimate interest in providing support). We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request, unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Retention
- On-device data: as long as the app is installed; deleted when you uninstall it.
- Support emails: as long as needed to handle the request.
- Purchase data: retained by Apple under its own rules.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise them, write to albosapps@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Since your library data stays on your device, you can delete it yourself by removing the app.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if the app changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top; we will communicate significant changes appropriately.
